Below
is an account of the inner changes that I experienced as a result of
participating in the initiations and video seminars held recently in
the Eastern and the Midwestern United States.
Practice
Starts from the Inside
Because
I attend almost every group meditation at our center, and always help
with center activities, some brothers and sisters think of me as a very
good and sincere practitioner. But in fact, in the past, my meditation
was not good, and I did not know why.
Then,
a Quan Yin messenger came to our center, immediately understood what my
problem was, and told me that I should sincerely pray to Master for help.
After a two-day retreat with the messenger present, my heart and soul
were cleansed. I understood deeply the meaning of the Quan Yin messenger's
words: The reason I was not sincere inside was that I did not have complete
faith in Master. So when I meditated, I sat there without peace. And in
my actions, I could not rely on the inner God power and love. So although
I was always busy outwardly, I brought such an insincere and busy atmosphere
to our center that I was cheating myself and troubling other practitioners.
Mutual Understanding and
Improving Together
One
way my inner disquiet was expressed was in my working relationship
with the contact person. As a spiritual practitioner, I thought I
should help with the contact person's work. But inside, I always felt
uncomfortable with her. Because our center had committed to presenting
a video seminar, we had to work together. Through some tough encounters
along the way, I began to reflect inside and to understand others
more deeply than before. Then I started to help with the contact person's
work wholeheartedly and more sincerely, with no more pretending!
So,
it's not that Master really needs us to work for Her or spread Her
teachings. Each form of Master's work is just an excuse to help us,
a chance to elevate our spiritual level. For some practitioners, once
they experience a conflict, they may try to avoid meeting each other,
or even avoid going to the center for group meditation. But in such
cases, it is we who lose the opportunity to progress.
