Master
has said, "Meditation itself is also a kind of reward, because
when we are able to sit, and really desire to sit for wisdom, that is
already a kind of reward, whether you get experiences or so-called experiences
or not." So, meditation is a kind of reward in itself. No wonder
fellow practitioners never get tired of it!
We
can see that a great many people are lost in the illusionary world of
Maya, in the ephemeral emotions of joy, anger, sorrow and happiness,
in pursuing worldly knowledge and talents, in the myth of deriving blessings
from alms-giving, and in the scriptures and supernatural powers. Fortunately,
we have found a living, Enlightened Master, who teaches us how to tap
the inexhaustible treasure of our wisdom. Through meditation, we slowly
sever ourselves from the entwining captivity of worldly illusions, and
let the energy field of the saints cleanse and purify us. In this way,
we become free of all bondage and rise to the dimension of the saints.
Therefore,
meditation is truly a kind of reward!
