Seminar in Ayacucho

Interview by TV Channel 7

Ayacucho in Peru's central mountainous region is well known for its handicrafts and agriculture. Local residents continue to suffer due to a violent interlude many years ago that caused heavy casualties. For a long time, Peruvian fellow initiates had wished to bring spiritual comfort to Ayacucho's residents by sharing the Truth and Master's love, and thus elevating their level of consciousness by helping them find inner peace through the Quan Yin Method.

The initiates' sincere and fervent wish moved Heaven and earth, as God began cleansing the sorrowful city with divine love through downpours that turned the streets into little streams and even caused a power outage. During the outage, a fellow initiate meditating in darkness saw brilliant light in her inner vision and opened her eyes three times, thinking that the electricity had been restored. When fellow practitioners were in Huanta, a district of Ayacucho, distributing flyers about the seminar, a gentleman told them that a beautiful oriental lady had already invited him to the event three days earlier. The fellow initiates then teased themselves that Master had come to work two days before they did!

Before the seminar, we were interviewed by three radio stations (one interview each by Radio Melody and Radio Wari, and two by Radio Atlantis) and two television stations (Channels 23 and 7). Although the media were busy with the upcoming local elections, they nonetheless found time to interview our group. During the interviews, the TV stations also played some excerpts from a tape introducing our Master.

The grand occasion of the seminar in Ayacucho.

The Ayacucho seminar, held at the convention hall of the city's Square Hotel, attracted a capacity crowd of more than 400 guests. Although the Hotel's staff continuously added more chairs, many people were left unseated or without room to stand. Makeshift arrangements were then made by using another space and installing an additional TV to accommodate these people, who were very eager and sincere in their desire to learn about Master's teachings. After watching Master's videotaped lecture, several hundred guests, including a chief local official, learned the Convenient Method. The official promised to begin following a vegetarian diet and to meditate according to Master's instructions. Also, several Convenient Method practitioners offered their homes as future group meditation venues.

Several weeks later, Lima's contact person and fellow initiates re-visited Ayacucho to select a suitable site to hold group meditation sessions for the Convenient Method practitioners. Meanwhile, fellow initiates made use of special broadcasts and exclusive interviews with Radio Atlantis to hold small seminars on two successive days. Thanks to Master's blessings, Ayacucho now has a center for group meditation.

Seminar at the Universal Pharmacy in Lima

Interview by Radio Filarmonia of Lima.

After the successful seminar in Ayacucho, fellow initiates from Lima held another seminar during the same week at the Universal Pharmacy, one of the most famous pharmacies in the city. Here, weekly seminars are held to educate and assist local residents in health maintenance. The pharmacy manager arranged for us to be interviewed by the local station Radio Filarmonia, which specializes in classical music. Broadcast during an opera program, the interview dealt with several topics, especially the relationship between inner and worldly music and the importance of the inner music.

On the day of the seminar, again the venue was packed, and afterwards many people learned the Convenient Method. A number of questions were raised about health, and a fellow initiate shared the experience of her terminal cancer being cured without medication after she began practicing the Quan Yin Method. More importantly, the guests realized through the "inner Light" experience that the eternal true Self exists apart from the ephemeral physical body. They also realized that spiritual practice is the true and complete way of life and healing.
