K:
Hi! Were here with Margie Evans from Los Angeles Music Week. Welcome
Margie.
M: Thank you.
K:
How did you come to know Supreme Master Ching Hai?
M: It was through the Musicians
Union. They must have known Her because of all the work she had done
previously. They sent me the bios on the Ocean of Love. The Supreme
Master wasnt seeking to be honored. So when I met with a lot of
the staff, I shared with them that our children dont know a thing
about Her. And just seeing that video (Walk the Way of Love), I saw
the reaction in this room today. Many people were sitting there who
have contributed, but when they saw that video, how She works in that
humble state, I bet you they went away with a lesson. So that proved
my point. As with the Supreme Master, we meet no one by chance. She
wants to be heard and wants to help those of us who have forgotten that
giving of oneself is very fulfilling. And I watched the room when that
video was shown. There was such peace and contentment. There were many
people in the room who felt, No one really cares. And some
of them would pull at me like I have all the answers. I dont have
all the answers, but I know someone Whos got all the answers.
So the Supreme Master was meant to enter this place and my life and
give me hope. Because thereve been moments in my life when I say
Im sick of giving my money to these people and thats the
way I see it. They dont appreciate anything. So I feel good because
I had watched the video before today, and I was sitting in a state of
despondency. But listening to Her gave me hope. Im telling you,
I was in an emotional spin at home. Then up She came, and I looked at
the video, and Im so blessed. Its real what Im talking
about. So when the power of God comes into a situation, Hes the
greatest director I know!
K:
Yes, absolutely.
M: He (God) directs Music
Week, not Margie.
K:
Would you mind telling me more about your feelings regarding Supreme
Masters music?
M: I heard the music. Its
peaceful. First of all, I was reading some of the poetry because the
Musicians Union sent it to me. And when I received the CD, I took
it into my bedroom. Before I go to sleep, I always try to have positive
input in my mind. The Supreme Master, I share with Her with all sincerity.
And as an African-American woman, I thank God that She was sent to me
to help me move on into light, not feeling sorry for myself but picking
myself up, using every tool I have in my life to advance. Her music
is helping me to advance. Her book One World
of peace through
music is also helping me to advance. So I take my position from
the apostle Paul in the Bible. Whatever state Im in, Ive
learned to be content, I know how to abase and abound (i. e., to be
happy both in times of need and abundance). Thats what Shes
helping me do through Her music, Her love. Supreme Master Ching
Hai, thank You for being You. For many people throughout the world you
have touched, You will never know all the people, but I hope something
I do in the future will show you that I have finally gotten the message.
I might not ever see Her in person but I feel Her spirit. Thats
why I think of Her work. Thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai.
Thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your peace. Thank You.
