Supreme Master Ching Hai is not only internationally renowned for Her
compassion as a spiritual Master, but also seems blessed with artistic
talent that requires no guidance from teachers. And She is also highly
acclaimed in artistic and literary circles. A great character is always
accompanied by childlike innocence. Unsophisticated, pure and simple,
that is how experiences of Truth, Virtue and beauty are expressed in
the diverse artistic and musical creations of Supreme Master Ching Hai.
In
order to facilitate intimate appreciation of Her artworks by Taipei
residents, the Taipei Center of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International
Association has especially convened the Supreme Master Ching Hai Body,
Mind and Soul Art Creation Exhibition at the Taipei Social Education
Hall from January 11 to 16.
Items
displayed at the six-day event include eighteen oil paintings, ten pastel
color paintings and twelve handmade Longevity Lamps that are excellent
examples of the integration of art with living handicrafts. In commenting
on Her own creativity, which required no training, Supreme Master Ching
Hai says, "For all of us, as long as our inner almighty power has
been turned up, nothing is impossible." Through Her creations,
the Supreme Master presents new interpretations of human art in the
form of Truth, Virtue, beauty and divinity.
The
settings of Supreme Master Ching Hai's creative works include Formosan
locales such as Yangming Mountain in Taipei, Hsihu and Pingtung, as
well as Seattle, Washington and California in the United States, Japan
and Costa Rica. With Her profound realization and boundless creative
inspiration, She is able to produce works based on just about anything
in the realm of human experience. And with Her simple strokes and sincere
yet unsophisticated style, She flawlessly represents Her "Impressions
of Heaven."
