In our competitive society, senior citizens are often a neglected group. So with the desire to bring Master’s love to their elderly friends, Hong Kong Center initiates paid a loving visit to the Jianian Nursery at the end of August, 2003.

As residents of this small facility seldom receive care and concern from society, it became the natural choice for the initiates in their activity of love. On the day of the visit, vegetarian snacks were prepared and several entertaining performances were presented. The initiates also chatted and did health-enhancing exercises with the people. Thus, through Master’s love and blessings, the nursery was filled with warmth and joy.

Hong Kong fellow initiates visit a home for the elderly.

After a sister skilled in acupuncture applied needles to an elderly lady’s body, a miracle occurred. The woman, who used to rely on a walking stick, was able to walk without it through the encouraging applause of people around her. In addition, she expressed a wish to become a vegetarian for the rest of her life! All the fellow initiates present were deeply moved and decided to send over free vegetarian food so that the woman would be able to enjoy a nutritious vegetarian diet on a regular basis.

This visit not only gave the residents of the Jianian Nursery a heart-warming and enjoyable day, but also enabled Hong Kong fellow initiates to develop their inner love. May the elderly brothers and sisters at the Nursery have a peaceful and happy life and discover eternal joy!
