Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai:

Allow me to add to my deepest appreciation for Your warm hospitality to the Philippine delegation composed of Gusi Foundation President Manuel Morato, Secretary & Mrs. Heherson Alvarez, Ambassador & Mrs. Thelmo Cunanan, etc., during their stay in Taipei for the Chinese/Vietnamese (Aulacese) New Year Celebrations on February 17 and 18, 2007. Your gracious kindness made their visit truly memorable. Likewise, I thank You wholeheartedly for Your thoughtful gesture of giving importance to my humble record as a peacemaker in Asia before Your international constituency.

My post-Presidency efforts continue to be focused on helping to raise the quality of life for the peoples of the Asia-Pacific region, especially in ASEAN, and for a more peaceful and progressive future through sustained economic development and the reduction of poverty. The Ramos Peace and Development Foundation (RPDEV) concerns itself with issues related to our four main program areas -sustainable development, peace and stability in the Philippines and the greater Asia-Pacific region, democratic governance, and economic diplomacy. With my involvement with other international and strategic forums, I continue to contribute my modest efforts for the promotion of peace, development and economic cooperation.

I am confident that all our efforts will succeed with the continued support of leaders and visionaries like You who care, share and dare to make a difference in our world.
