The appreciation letter and receipt for the US$20,000 contribution from Supreme Master Ching Hai for the Honorable Retired Bishops and Priests Home

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s warmhearted generosity continues to touch the hearts and fulfill the needs of many around the world.

Earlier this year, Golden Year 4 (2007), Master received a letter of appreciation, dated May 10, from 75-year-old Archbishop of Tuguegarao, Diosdado A. Talamayan. The Archbishop wished to thank Her for the US$15,000 Master had contributed to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines for retiring bishops and priests (please see News #185 for the full story). After reading the letter, and knowing more of their need, Master lovingly instructed to send an additional US$20,000 for the “extra special need” of this same group of people.

The Archbishop of Tuguegarao was overjoyed when he heard the news. Construction of a new structure, the Honorable Retired Bishops and Priests Home, was already underway. Master’s support and show of concern came exactly when this project was running low on funds!

In response, Archbishop Talamayan wrote several letters to express his heartfelt appreciation to the Supreme Master. In his letter of June 22, he wrote, “Dear friends: You then understand how grateful we will always be to you. Truly, God’s love and generosity flow greatly to people like you, who have a heart for those who are in need, most especially the retired and senior priests. I can only marvel on this act of kindness which you have shown. May God continue to bless you and reward your goodness many times over.”
