Shoppers Get a Taste of
By fellow initiates in Shanghai (Originally in Chinese)
[Shanghai] To celebrate Mother’s Day and publicize
Meatout Day, local fellow initiates held a vegetarian food tasting
event in cooperation with the Shanghai Bailian Shopping Center on
May 11, Golden Year 5 (2008). Fellow initiates prepared more than
20 delicious vegetarian dishes, a dozen exquisite vegetarian snacks
and a beautiful vegetarian birthday cake to show the public how wonderful
vegetarian food can be and to share the idea of how this compassionate,
healthy diet can help mitigate global warming and save the Earth.
Alternative Living green shopping bags were also distributed to the
guests. After having more understanding about the global crisis and
the great significance of the vegetarian lifestyle in saving our Earth,
most people said they would try their best to be vegetarians.
