A Young Animal Protector
By Hawaii News Group, USA (Originally in English)
Isaiah was distressed. Even though he called the police, he was told that the driver didn’t break any law. Therefore, Isaiah was determined to push through the legislature to make it a crime if people accidentally hit an animal and drive away. He thinks people should at least get out of the car, call the police, offer first aid or find the owners. He does not want any animal to go through this devastating experience. Ms. Kymberly Pine, State Representative, agreed and commended, “How we’re going to put that in law is a little bit more difficult but we’re going to try our best to meet his dream of passing something like this.” Our Association members proudly presented
Isaiah with the Shining World Compassion Award, together with Master’s
publications and a check of US$500. Isaiah’s mother was extremely
touched and her eyes were filled with tears when she saw the beautiful
plaque. Isaiah is especially grateful for Supreme Master Ching Hai’s
recognition. He kept thanking Her and is planning to use the money for
his new mission.
