Grateful Burundi Villagers
By Tanzanian Relief Team (Originally in French)
In October 2009, devastating downpours affected
more than 1,000 inhabitants of Burundi’s Bubanza Province,
where over 214 homes and most of the crops were destroyed, especially
in the Gihanga community.
Master Ching Hai responded to the disaster by sending
US$10,000 and a relief team, who purchased and distributed supplies
of cooking oil, beans, rice, flour, salt and soap to those affected
along with Her love. The villagers gratefully accepted Master’s
gifts, and the District Commissioner sent a formal letter sincerely
thanking Master for Her help.
