to People in Plight
By Bangkok Relief Team, Thailand (Originally in English)

On October 10, 2009, with Master’s loving concern and a US$5,000
contribution, our Bangkok Center Association members went to Kawthaung
Province in Myanmar (Burma) by boat to provide aid to the people affected
by heavy rainfall and landslides. They traveled to Chuayparamee Temple
where three monks had lost their lives, two young monks were injured,
and many had no place to live due to damaged buildings. They offered US$3,030
(100,000 baht) to the abbot to repair the temple, for which he was very
appreciative to Master for Her kindness. The team also gave US$606 (6,000
baht) to a woman whose house was destroyed. All of those affected promised
that they would adopt the Earth-saving vegetarian diet to help alleviate
the detrimental effects of global warming. ![]() Receipt in the amount of US$3,030 (100,000 baht) for Master’s cash contribution provided by Chuayparamee Temple
