[ Hong Kong] In recent months, Hong Kong has been continually
besieged by typhoons. Behind the prosperous scene of the city's

modern buildings are numerous disaster victims with souls longing
for help and care, and who are suffering from the flooding caused

by typhoons Wendy, York and Cam. After Hong Kong initiates received
our compassionate Master's instructions and funds, they immediately

spread out to search for the needy victims.

During this time, they encountered personal stories that, one after
the other, told an unfortunate and sorrowful tale. Due to the high
density of the buildings and the city planning of the urban area
of Hong Kong, when floods occur, the waters rush downward toward
the village areas in the plains. As a consequence, the residents
of these local villages become the sacrificial lambs of urbanization.

During the recent typhoons, many people in one such village were
besieged by the flood water resulting in serious pollution of their
well water. On behalf of Master, initiates arranged for installation
of new water taps and other community modifications, spending most
of the relief fund in the process.

One single elderly resident claimed that after fighting the flood
waters for an entire day and night, he then had to clean up his
little home by himself. He thanked initiates profusely for Master's
loving care. Also, a woman whose husband had died a year earlier
and was still grieving, insisted on remaining in her home with her
children, even at the risk of her life and the lives of her children.
However, under the loving blessing power of Master, and on the advice
of a social worker, she agreed to evacuate to a safer shelter. Another
helpless lady who had recently lost her husband was unable to raise
her children and pay for the family's expenses. When she received
some monetary assistance on Master's behalf, she was sincerely appreciative.

Thank You, Master, for giving us another lesson in love. It was
a precious opportunity for us who are blessed with living in a rich
and satisfying environment to experience other people's pain and
                to be one with them.

During this relief program, Master blessed us all the time, and
even telephoned to encourage the working staff members.

Master, thank You very much for the love You showed to the people
                of Hong Kong.
