           [Report
          from Yao Tsu-shun, Kaohsiung County]
The Laiyi Center of the Supreme Master Ching
Hai International Association (SMCHIA) yesterday sent a medical team
comprised of doctors specializing in Chinese and Western medicine to
offer free medical services in Hsinchih Village, Wanluan Rural Township,
Pingtung County. Many fellow practitioners also demonstrated their neighborly
love by cleaning up the environment near the Center. Village Chief Wang
He-ching and the local inhabitants highly commended the charitable deeds
of Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Center's outstanding contributions
          to the local community.

         The
free medical services offered by the Laiyi Center yesterday were part
of several routine sessions of free medical consultations for the local
inhabitants, and the number of those receiving assistance is beyond
estimation. The eight-member medical team included doctors of Chinese
medicine Wu Yen-hua, Chang Yen-lin and Li Jin-Chin; doctors of Western
medicine Huang Chien-hsiung and Chen Chui-wen; physiotherapist Chang
Chao-chien; and pharmacists Wu Wang-jen and Chen Hsiu-lin.
