Hand in Hand, Tightly, with Love

Two days after the Mother's Day celebration was Master's birthday. Master asked us what we wanted to do on that day, so we took the opportunity to ask Her to sing with us. When She said, "Okay," we were overjoyed. Some fellow initiates who had attended the retreat were still at the Center, so they joined in the fun. The program began with several beautiful songs sung by Korean initiates, whose voices were so sweet and fascinating that they could have been mistaken for professionals. Since our group had had no time to rehearse, however, our chorus was a failure. To save us from embarrassment, Master quickly came down the stage and sang with everyone, "Little Lamb Wants to Go Home." After walking around the venue, She went back onto the stage to chat with us, enjoyed some cookies, and began making song requests. Strangely, at that point, we could sing very well any song that She requested.

After we sang several traditional songs of Formosa's indigenous people, Master suddenly asked us to dance to the melody. Initially, we thought that She was joking, but She turned out to be very insistent. She even demanded that we comply quickly, or She would leave. Eager to keep Master with us and make Her happy, we could only gather all the courage we had, and dance. Those who could not dance prayed to the Inner Master for help. Having no time to prepare, we resorted to using improvised props-our Quan Yin cloths. Some wrapped them around their heads, and some tied them around their waists. Forming a circle, we followed the rhythm and started to dance. We might not have been professionals, but our movements were neat and in step. Some people's skirts were so long that they kept stumbling on them, inducing hearty laughter from Master.

Master really enjoyed the evening. That song and dance performance integrated the love between Master and disciples and reached a climax. At that moment, the only thought in our minds was to make Master stay and feel happy. Having no other thoughts and having totally forgotten about ourselves, we were once more immersed in the bliss of being one with Master's love.

Time spent with Master, within or without, in any way, is always permeated with Her love and blessings. After this occasion, we each went on our way to our own destinations to carry on with our mission. Such happy moments are always brief, but Master's sweet love fills my heart and accompanies me constantly. Often echoing in my ears is a line of the lyrics from an indigenous song we sang that evening: "Hand in hand, tightly, with love..."

Embraced by Your True Love

Please tell me,
Why do I miss You so?
We yearn to meet again very soon,
Though we have not yet parted.
For You I cry; for You I laugh.
It's You that I miss, and for You that I pray.
For You I would do anything, just to win Your smile.
Regardless of Your attire,
Regardless of Your look,
I am proud to be embraced by Your intense love.
You are the ultimate grace God bestows on me;
You are no one else; You are myself!

Note: While in Korea, Master gave our brothers and sisters enormous love and elevation. Now we have parted from each other and we find our moments together so short that they were just like a dream. I wrote this poem because I miss Master so much.
