[ Hong Kong ] Good luck recently came to Hong Kong, where for two consecutive Sundays, fellow practitioners had the opportunity to join in Internet videoconferences with their brothers and sisters from the Quan Yin Family in other parts of the world. Such communication transcends time and space, drawing distant places close together. The local practitioners were very excited to participate in the conferences, and the number of initiates in attendance at the Hong Kong Center reached record highs each time.

When the first videoconference was announced, fellow practitioners were filled with joy, and rushed to the venue, their faces lit up with sweet smiles as they waited to see Master "face to face." On initially seeing Master's image on the TV screen, everyone cheered happily as they became immersed in Master's ocean of love. Many fellow practitioners praised Master's great wisdom in always being able to utilize worldly tools to bring infinite merit to sentient beings.

Even more delightful were the blessing power and great atmosphere of the videoconference, which were comparable to those of an international retreat. Many fellow practitioners experienced a change in their usual solemn attitude and became as joyful, pure and innocent as young children.

[ Toronto, Canada ] On August 4, 2002, Toronto initiates excitedly gazed at their Center's TV monitor as they prepared for a videoconference with our beloved Master Ching Hai. Soon Master appeared on the screen and lovingly greeted everyone, saying, "Today is your day!" Hearing these words, those with spiritual questions immediately seized the rare opportunity, which might occur once in many thousand years, to talk to a living Master "face to face." With Her infinite and perfect wisdom, Master readily answered all the questions posed by initiates. Through the use of state-of-the-art equipment, fellow initiates were thus able to communicate with Master in real-time, giving them tremendous blessing and delight!

[ Argentina ] In early August, 2002, when Master was holding an Internet videoconference with fellow practitioners in Formosa, initiates from Argentina in far away South America had the good fortune to join in the experience. It was the first time that Argentine practitioners had participated in a Net conference with the Quan Yin Family.

On Saturday night, August 3, Buenos Aires initiates met at a Net caf? enthusiastically anticipating the beautiful moment of "meeting" Master. Since few practitioners in Argentina have broadband Internet connections, they worried that they might miss Master's discourse, as their dial-up connections were too slow. Thus, they decided to meet at the Net caf? When Master's image appeared on the computer screen at the caf? the atmosphere was immediately charged with a special energy. The initiates were elated to see Master, and felt the power of love envelop them. Near the end of the conference, Master lovingly gave Her regards to the fellow practitioners in several participating countries, and Argentina was among them! Whoa, how amazing it felt!

The fellow practitioners of South America have been longing to see Master for a long time. But due to financial and visa problems, some have been unable to see Her in person, let alone hold a conversation with Her. Now, however, through the power of the Internet, their wishes can finally be realized. We sincerely thank our "modern Master" for blessing the sentient beings of the world through the use of the most advanced technologies.

[ Formosa ] On August 4, 2002, many thousands of fellow practitioners gathered at Formosa's Hsihu Center to find themselves appreciating an "unhindered emotional exchange" with Master, made possible by the latest communications technology! On that day, Master, who was far away in a foreign country, had a real-time conversation with the fellow practitioners of Formosa through an Internet videoconference. It was as though She were personally present. Through the TV screen, Formosan initiates saw their humorous and witty Master talking and laughing as She has countless times before. Thus, they were able to feel Master's love and wisdom transmitted to them through the Internet, with absolutely zero time lapse and zero distance!

That morning, the TV screen showed Master's familiar image and brought to initiates' ears Her loving voice, as She said, "How have you been? Have you made any progress in meditation?" Immediately, the initiates knew that the Master they had long missed was "back," as a thunderous round of applause broke out. Wearing a pure white suit, Master naturally radiated an elegant and uncommon quality, which intoxicated the initiates present. Master lovingly answered the questions raised by fellow practitioners, and Her discourse was warm, humorous and full of wisdom. Everyone felt as though spring had arrived again! During the session, there were frequent bouts of laughter and intense clapping, as the participants enjoyed Master's every word.

One fellow practitioner asked Master, "Nowadays, a few initiates in different places are showing signs of being possessed because they are not following Master's teachings. Some claim to be Master's special secret emissaries and say they can transmit the Dharma in Her stead. Some fellow practitioners who do not understand the Truth have blindly followed them and left our group. How should we protect our spiritual faith and not be pulled away by Maya?" Master answered, "Just listen to me, and you'll be OK. Don't listen to other people! If I send someone to impart the Dharma, I'll inform all of you openly. You have to attend group meditation weekly. Listen to my teachings at home by watching videotapes and listening to audiotapes. And then practice more. Do not casually believe what other people say. Then you'll be doing right."

Besides questions on spiritual practice, one fellow practitioner raised a concern that scientific technology might have shortened the distance between Master and disciples, but it can also reduce the chances of meeting Master in person. Master, being ever so understanding, assured Her disciples that She would not disappoint them, and smilingly replied, "If there is a need, there will be a chance to meet."

Another practitioner requested that Master pray to God for peace between Mainland China and Formosa, and Master said, "OK, actually, I have done a lot; otherwise they might have fought already!" She also remarked that the best way to pray is for initiates to meditate, practice and do good deeds. When their magnetic fields rise higher and higher, they will be further and further away from war. Without spiritual practice, however frequent, prayers are useless. Prayers will work only with more spiritual practice.

Finally Master mentioned that She was proud of the initiates' performance in every aspect. She often misses the disciples in Formosa, but at the moment it is not convenient for Her to return. The longing in the hearts of many Formosan initiates sprung up at that time, as tears welled up in their eyes. Then, Master gave Her deep blessings to everyone and delivered Her regards to practitioners all over the world. The conference lasted forty minutes before drawing to a perfect close. Many practitioners were still waving at the video screen even after it had turned blank, clearly demonstrating their reluctance to part with Master.

Conclusion:

Through Internet videoconferences, Master's words of wisdom can be transmitted instantaneously around the world. Besides benefiting the masses, the conferences also satisfy the yearning of disciples. As the 21st century unfolds, our compassionate God has blessed us with many excellent tools for sharing Master's teachings. This is a clear manifestation of the wish and vision that Master has spoken of: "Let us move together toward the Golden Age!" ¡KPrevious Page
