[Toronto] From November
22-24, 2002, initiates from the Toronto Center participated
in the annual Whole Life Expo, Canada's largest showcase for
advocates of natural health and alternative medicine. The event
exhibited the best in natural health products, related services
and cutting-edge research, and attracted over 200 exhibitors
from across North America.
The TV program A Journey through Aesthetic
Realms displayed at the initiates' booth amazed a visiting
cinematography artist, who noted that the producer must have
worked with wholehearted commitment. When the initiates explained
that daily meditation can open up one's wisdom and facilitate
full concentration on one's work, she agreed that this was why
Master's television program was such a professional production.
One gentleman who was attracted to the booth
by the sign "Immediate Enlightenment" listened with
delight to an introduction to Master and the Quan Yin Method
and excitedly acquired a videotape of Master's teachings. A
CD exhibitor at the Expo was especially fascinated by Master's
poetry collection The Lost Memories. The poem "Love
Melody 4" immediately caught his attention, and he commented
on the beauty and excellent phrasing of Master's poems.
While viewing one of Master's videos, a distinguished-looking
visitor to the booth exclaimed, "She looks very different
with hair!" The gentleman turned out to be Philip Starkman,
a psychotherapist and lifestyle counselor with almost 40 years
of experience in various forms of meditation and intensive practice
in Asian monasteries, temples and ashrams. Mr. Starkman remembered
having had lunch with Master at a Zen monastery in Taipei in
1985 (at the time She had the shaven head of a Buddhist nun),
when he was very impressed by Her warm, engaging smile.
As the exhibition neared its end, an initiate
came by and shared a touching and amazing story. She testified
to the truth behind what Master has said about five generations
of initiates' families attaining liberation. When she was in
Chicago to be initiated with her daughter some years ago, her
mother was in an unconscious state. However, when the woman
visited her mother after her initiation, her mother awoke and
told her that a beautiful manifestation of God had appeared
to her. Hearing her mother refer to God as a "She,"
which she had never done so before, the sister knew that her
mother had seen Master. Her mother also said that several deceased
relatives were fine, and that she herself would soon be gone,
but that she would be fine as well. The following day, her mother
passed away.
The initiates who worked at the Whole Life Expo
met many Truth-seekers who were aimlessly groping around in
the spiritual realm without a proper guide, and felt that they
themselves are the luckiest yogis in the world to have a Living
Master Who can lead them Home and help them benefit deceased
relatives through their practice.
