A Marvelous Adventure of LoveBy Costa Rica News Group (Originally in Spanish)
The initiates that served the food wore beautiful bright red aprons with white caps, the ones that handed out the flyers and explained about the vegetarian diet at our booth wore the attractive bright yellow eye-catching vests, and the ones that did the leaflet distribution in the crowds wore cute T-shirts with the Alternative Living information printed on them. To everyone that visited our booth, we tried to explain why it was so important to be vegetarian. The students were amazed at how delicious the food was that we offered. We tried to include many of the traditional Costa Rican dishes like ‘arracache’, ‘tamales with vegetable and soy’, ‘tamales with beans’, ‘hash brown potatoes with soy’, as well as some international ones along with yummy soy milk. They were surprised at how easy it was to replace the meat ingredient with the healthy soy products in international and traditional recipes and still have the most wonderful authentic taste. Around 11,000 flyers were distributed throughout the university campus.
The Alternative Living message was very well received.
