                    This happened between
a boy who is now 16 years and a mother. The little boy has
been a vegetarian since he was born.
When the boy was 5 years
old at the supermarket, his mother asked, “How do
you know what is vegetarian and what is not?” The
little boy said, “It depends on if they have eyes,
noses, and mouth. Do you see the eyes on the vegetable?”

                     When the boy was age
10, the mother asked, “Why cannot you eat the living
meat?” The boy held his mother’s hand tightly
and innocently said, “Mom, do you love me?”
“Of course I do.” Mother replied. The little
boy continued and said. “What if there is someone
who wants to bite me? What would you do?” Mom said,
                      “I will not allow them.”
                     Later on, the mother
cannot help but ask, “So then, why cannot you eat
the dead meat?” The boy looks lovely with his clean
face and said, “Mom, do you still love me?”
“Of course I do,” Mom replied. “What if
I died, and you bury my body and someone dug it up and ate
it; what would you do?” the boy asked. “I am
going to fight with them,” the mother replied.
At age 16, the boy now
has already grown up strong, tall, well-built and intelligent
                      - remains a committed vegetarian. He wants to be lawyer;
after many discussions, the boy said, “The universal
law is that if there is life, the laws between one or another
among living creatures, including animals, are all the same.
Yet, we human beings are selfish; we only obey our own laws
and disregard the universal law - the law of the One, the
                      law of the unity.”
                     The mother asked: “How
do you distinguish people and how do you tell if they have
an open-mind?” The boy said, “People’s
hearts are like doors. Some have swing doors, easily coming
and easily going. Some doors have locks and they need the
right keys to get in them. Some doors have keys, but the
locks will run around all the time. The key has to chase
after the locks. Some doors have big mouths on the top.
When someone approaches the door, the mouth will attack.
Some doors have no locks, no keys, but at the right time
both keys and locks appear all together. ”
