God’s Grace Touches the Yemeni Flood Victims
By Malaysia News Group (Originally in English)
Lying at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula, much of the land in Yemen is desert with a hot and humid climate tempered by seasonal monsoon rains. As a result of the flood that occurred at the end of October 2008, there were many casualties, many washed-away houses, cars, crops and also destroyed roads and communication systems. Once our merciful Master learned of the plight of the Yemenis, She contributed US$15,000 and initiates from Malaysia set off on November 2 to bring relief and solace to the affected people. They quickly gathered the necessary information, found an interpreter as well as a driver with a car, and traveled long hours to reach Senyun, the worst-stricken area. After going from village to village around the outskirts of Senyun, and meeting the local people including the village heads to assess the situation, the team was glad to find out that the flood victims had already been given basic necessities in addition to tents as temporary shelters. Therefore, they decided to hand out cash to help the needy families in Mashtah, Al Goze, Al Jaheel, Dawea and the Sah districts. From the happy smiles, sparkling eyes and the approving nods of the pure-hearted villagers, it was evident that Master’s immense blessings had comforted their souls. Thanks to Master’s meticulous arrangements, the whole operation went smoothly, and the initiates had the exact amount of money they needed to share with everyone. SOS flyers and sample booklets were also distributed to the families who could read them, restaurants, shops and even the French Embassy with the help of a kind Yemeni. All the village heads, the victims, and the driver and interpreter for the initiates convey their heartfelt thanks to Master.
