However,
when he received the layout plan for the stage and screen from sister
Li of the Taipei artwork team, he was perplexed. He had never seen a
plan for such a gigantic platform drawn on a flimsy sheet of paper.
Transforming the paper drawing into something real seemed like a remote
fairytale to him. Up to that time, brother Chen's work had mainly entailed
constructing furniture and commercial show windows. He thus had no clue
as to how to turn this small diagram into a physical object thousands
of times larger in size. Racking his brain for days, he repeatedly consulted
sister Li and the brother in charge of the project, but still had no
idea about where to begin.
Then,
one day, he was suddenly enlightened. The platform stage was the divine
focus of the lecture; it was beyond interpretation by the mind, and
did not allow for personal opinion. At this pivotal point in his understanding,
a picture unfolded in his mind like a movie screen. He saw the stage
richly decorated with flowers, plants and trees, and featuring a constantly
flowing waterfall in the middle that represented Master's infinite love
and wisdom. The stage would be flanked by two huge projection screens.
It was clear to brother Chen that this vision was due to the grace of
God and a blessing from Master. He composed himself and quietly stored
the whole scene in his memory, hoping to realize it successfully.
During
the building process, he worked with great peace of mind, remembering
what Master had once said: "No matter what you do, you know you
are doing it correctly if you have peace of mind; if you don't, then
don't do it." Brother Chen also learned the truth behind the concept
of letting go of oneself totally to become God's tool, and the saying,
"The less time one has, the more work one can accomplish."
