On
my birthday, January 24, 2000, I was involved in a dramatic car accident.
My emotions overwhelm me each time I recall God's blessings and fantastic
arrangement in saving me during that life-and-death crisis. Long before
the accident, Master had let me rehearse the event many times in a dream.
She even told me, "You will be showered with blessings once you
escape this disaster."
I
was so naive that I thought the terrifying and somewhat incredible nightmare
would not materialize in real life! Well, it occurred just as it had
appeared in my dreams. However, despite sustaining severe physical injuries
and having my car become immobilized in the mud, I remained tranquil
and peaceful inside. It took almost two hours before I was lifted into
an ambulance. At that time, the paramedics could hardly detect my pulse.
After being rushed to the hospital, the surgeons operated on my face
because of the open wounds I had suffered in the accident. The doctors
joked that they seemed to be putting together a jigsaw puzzle.
During
my 48-hour hospital observation period, I remained fully conscious;
I was in such an alert state that I could not sleep at all! Following
that two-day period, fellow initiates began to visit me, one after another.
Their laughter filled my room each day, creating a warm and healing
atmosphere. My one-month stay in the hospital was like a vacation, as
I recovered very quickly.
While
meditating during my recuperation in February, I saw Master in a canopy
showering blessings on the Taoyuan Center. She was wearing traditional
Korean attire and a big, round hat. She looked lovely! But the Taoyuan
Center had a very spacious and comfortable hall, I thought, so why would
Master be chatting with the working staff in a temporary canopy? When
I learned in April that Master would be holding a lecture in Taoyuan
as part of Her Asia and Oceania tour, I finally realized God's blessings
and arrangement. To prepare for this grand event, the Taoyuan Center
mobilized all local initiates, and I was given the honor of planning
for the kitchen team. Although I had not yet fully recovered from my
accident, the good news was that I didn't have to return to work yet,
so I could throw myself completely into the lecture preparations.
After
a temporary kitchen was built at the Center, I realized that the temporary
canopy I had seen in my dream was the kitchen. And the big, round hat
that Master wore was a prototype for the work uniform of the kitchen
team. After the lecture at the Taoyuan County Stadium had concluded,
Master visited the Center in person and tasted a "steamed bun sandwich"
in the temporary kitchen.
From
my work, I deeply realized that when any idea initiated by us is related
to serving the multitudes, Heaven will grace us with all kinds of help
and God will completely care for us in every aspect. For example, once,
I was at the Hsihu Center and found myself without any transportation
back home. Since I had not fully recovered from a leg injury at that
time, I thought that I should get myself a car. Immediately, a fellow
brother from Taoyuan approached me and offered me a ride home. He mentioned
that he had bought a new car. That same evening, he and his wife decided
to give me their old car. I have no words to describe my amazement and
emotions at that moment, and my gratitude to God.
Working
for Master has made me increasingly enlightened, and helped me realize
that self-confidence and humility are divided by a very thin line. Master
has taught me how to let go and learn lessons from each challenge I
experience. The thought of enjoying the bliss of change under Master's
loving inspiration makes me feel absolutely blessed. I realize that
every moment is the truest, the best, and the most beautiful in my life.
This supreme bliss keeps me mentally refreshed at all times. Although
it is true that we are sometimes pushed down by the stress of hard work,
limited time, immense pressure, and heavy responsibilities, Master is
always there to answer our prayers and replenish us with Her inexhaustible
blessing power.
Dear
compassionate Mother Ching Hai, I am very grateful to You for encouraging
and helping me along the way. Were it not for relying on You and the
power of Oneness within me, I would have died a long time ago! It is
Your Almighty Love that has saved everything.
