Johannesburg Three-day Retreat

[Johannesburg] As the early July three-day retreat drew near, every one of the South African disciples became increasingly excited in anticipation of a temporary relief from the day-to-day hustle and bustle and a time free from worry, and bathed in Master's blissful presence. The retreat was held at a peaceful, secluded site ringed by mountains, where the cheerful sound of a flowing stream could be heard. We knew that this was Master's arrangement, for the brother who was responsible for finding the retreat site had stumbled upon the spot while wandering down an unmarked dirt road.

Disciples from Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg shared the workload in ensuring the success of the retreat. We hoped that our collective energy would flow from the tip of Africa and enhance the positive energy in our beautiful continent. The disciples from Durban informed us that there were a number of Congolese refugee brothers awaiting initiation and we knew that this would be a great blessing from Master for that war-torn part of the world.

During the three-day retreat, we internally experienced the Love of Master and externally enjoyed delicious food and entertainment. The simplicity and innocence of life at the retreat made us appreciate the inner treasures we have gained through the Grace of a living Master. Many of the African disciples wished that they could spend the rest of their lives in a peaceful and uncomplicated community with Master as a guide. We wish to thank Master for making our retreat possible, for sending us a wonderful, purifying rain shower on the first day of the retreat, and for allowing us to share the loving atmosphere of Her presence.
