The Wonders of Sharing the Truth

[Christchurch] On October 9-10, 2004, fellow disciples from Nelson and Christchurch participated in the Body, Mind and Spirit Festival held in Christchurch on New Zealand’s South Island by setting up a booth to share Master’s teachings with the public.

During the Festival, the initiates witnessed many instances of the Master power making the best possible arrangements for them. For example, on October 8, just as they were feeling troubled about their booth being too small, the exhibitors next door with a larger booth canceled out of the Festival and thus made more space available. There have been many such stories in The Supreme Master Ching Hai News, but to personally experience it was really great!

On the first day of the Festival, the Master power was again at work as many people were drawn to the booth. One young man said, “I was standing back looking and just had to come to your booth after feeling a peaceful energy emanating from it.” Also, the woman working in the adjacent stand felt very happy to be right next door to the initiates’ booth and said, “I feel a peaceful atmosphere and energy enveloping me and am very grateful.” On another occasion, a young man who was very sincere spoke to the initiates for quite a while and on leaving said, "Although I’ve never met you before, I don’t want to say good-bye because I feel we’re long-time friends with a strong connection." He then said he was sure that after practicing a breathing technique for many years the Quan Yin Method would be the final step on his spiritual journey, and eagerly asked for a contact number in his area.

There was also no stopping youngsters from seeking the Truth, as an eight-year-old girl walking by hand in hand with her mother pulled back to grab a sample booklet while the mother continued walking. In addition, many babies toddled past with their parents, gazing in awe at the beautiful pictures of Master on the booth walls. One infant, about two years old, could not get enough of Master’s image, completely forgot his father and left him behind to get near the booth to touch the TV presenting one of Master’s lectures.

Overall, the weekend was extremely uplifting for initiates and visitors alike, with many guests young and old going home with their little treasures — Master’s sample booklets.

On returning to the Nelson Center on Monday, all the initiates who had participated in the 2004 Body, Mind and Spirit Festival felt blessed to have had the opportunity to spread Master’s teachings and enjoyed strong blessings the following day while meditating. They also hope and pray that anyone who gets a similar opportunity to do God’s work will not pass it up.
